Why are young girls so complicated?
My memory is shot, I know that, but I honestly do not think I was so competitive with all my girlfriends. What I remember is, we helped each other, cheered each other on and there were rules when it came to boys. "What the hey", girls now fight all the time!!! Friendships are blown apart because everyone wants to be the leader of the pack. Maybe we are not teaching them to get along. It seems like being #1 is the only thing everyone focuses on. I honestly worry about that! My daughter comes home everyday with a new story of who said what and how they are not friends anymore. I tell her that she should not be so threatened by what people think or say. I try to encourage her make good decisions and be happy for her friends even if she has failed. How do we get things back to where everyone is not so self absorbed? Are our girls going to be total "B's"? I remember my mother telling me "you can be anything you want", but now girls think that they are "all that" already. These selfish attitudes probably will carry over to their future marriages. I hope moms of boys are preparing them for the new girls and their egos!!! Oh, only 29 days left of school!

31 days and school is out!
This year has been busy and hard for everyone! I thought when I graduated high school that I would never have to worry with this again! I was wrong!!! The kids' homework is killing me! Do school teachers have children? Do they understand that in today's economy it takes two incomes to make it. I am not sure what two hours of homework accomplishes other than me wanting to strangle someone! HA HA! After getting home from work, cooking supper, cleaning up dishes and doing laundry, the last thing I want to do is to sit down and look at linear equations or find the slope of a line. Seriously, when did I become the teacher. I AM TIRED TOO!!!! I am counting the days with the kids because I am just sick of the whole thing.

Farmers Market Outing
Well, a lot has been going on and no time to blog! Today, I had a moment to go to the farmer's market with the girls! We have so much fun together! We all talk over each others' conversations! We laugh till we cry or pee in our pants! It is always an adventure! On a previous lunch we chased an old lady down (because she was mean to us) and had a long talk to her about her actions! You have to love southern ladies. We will tell you "up yours" and in the same breath end the conversation with "Jesus loves you".
Today's adventure led us to the Alabama Farmer's Market. We enjoyed sun, beautiful plants and veggies. We loaded the car down with our goodies. Then I thought a plane above our heads was flying too low. My comment went like this, "Hey is that plane flying? and without a missing a beat my girls backed up me by saying "YES, the plane is flying". True friends even in your blond moments!
One of my close friends told a great story about her son, who plays baseball. She was talking about his pitching skills and how she thinks he has been a little off. She was in mixed company and kept saying her son's balls were off a little! Really, how many times can you say that before everyone is laughing! Oh well, life is funny!
